Playing the Game

Each week, your prediction skills are tested against The Pig and every other player of the game. In order to play, you must first complete your free registration on the site.  After logging in, you are ready to play the game and take part in the sites many other fan experience features.

Playing the Game
The Pig has predicted the outcome of 11 games and 1 tie breaker question for the week in play. All you have to do is enter and submit your predictions to take part.

Scoring
Points are scored as follows:

  • Predict the correct winner, FIELD GOAL! – 3 points
  • Predict the combined point total within 10 points of the final outcome,* TOUCHDOWN! – 7 points
  • Predict the point spread within 6 points of the final spread, *TOUCHDOWN! – 7 points
  • Predict the exact scores for the WRONG team, SAFETY – (2) points

*Note: In order to be eligible for touchdowns, you must have first scored a field goal by predicting the correct winner.

The total of your points across the 10 games in play will be your final score.

Trade Option
Each week, you have the opportunity to predict an 11th game. At any time before the weekly Trade Deadline (8pm Saturday) you can trade that game for any of the other 10 shown above.

Tie Breaker
A tie will be broken through use of the tie breaker question. This question will be evaluated by looking for the closest answer without going over. In the event that all top scoring players go over on the tie breaker, the win will go to the first player to submit his or her predictions.

Weekly Prize
Each week, a prize will be *mailed out to the winning player.

*Note: Prize winners must be continental U.S. residents. Prizes will not be sent out of the 48 contiguous states.

NCAA Season Champion
We are set up for a full season of Pigskin Picks action! Our NCAA Season Champion will be crowned by combining the highest 8 final scores acquired by each player throughout the season.

As this is a new season with new features on pigskinzone.com, we know that the rules for Pigskin Picks may need to be tweaked once we get going. So, we reserve the right to make modifications to the game at any point in time that we feel it is necessary.
