I mean that in every sense of the word. We are blessed to live in East Tennessee. We have beautiful mountains, lakes, and streams. And we have a great Sports Radio Station…The Monster!! I have been a fan of Bill Meade’s since I moved here in 94 and have listened to the Morning show since it’s inception. I am sure that many of you like me don’t get to listen to the entire show in the morning, nor all of Bill’s show in the afternoon. But I know that each day I look forward to that ride from home to work and back again so I can hear what Bobby, Kenny, Bud, and Bill have to say, and what the other sports fans in the area are thinking, even Claude!
These guys bring us a daily dose of reality, well mostly that is. They allow us to talk about our teams, and our sports, and the goings on from all over the world of sports! We owe them a huge thank you. I know that we don’t always agree with them, why would we? But they give us the chance to voice our opinions and they share theirs!
Much respect to the WXSM crew for all they do for the sports fans of this area!!

I happen to agree. On the days i get to listen i always turn it to 640am. Though i might not always agree with thier opinion. This is by far the best talk show around, sports or otherwise. Look forward to hearing those guys soon, keep up the good work and GO BIG ORANGE!!

A point that I will concede to “Hillbilly Hater” is that the jury is still out on Derek Dooley. The reason this is so is because of the mile high dumpster fire Lane Kiffin left him with. It was so bad that Mike Shula and Ron Zook think Lane Kiffin screwed Tennessee. It will not be the swift turnaround experienced by our SEC rivals at Tennessee. It will take the full four to five years typically given in the past to fully and fairly evaluate Derek Dooley. Once that time has passed and Dooley has not brought Tennessee to contention in the SEC or BCS bowl appearances, then it will fair to call Derek Dooley a “dud”. However, thanks to Lane Kiffen, he should and will have the greatest amount of time possible to turn things around. In any other normal situation, Dooley would not be affored this luxury. Though it has made these early days hell, Dooley should thank Kiffin in the long run. It has allowed him with amble and valuable time that will not be afforded to other recent and near future SEC hires. It will allow him to mold the program into an image he sees fit as opposed to the quick fix those other schools are and will expect.
